If you haven’t found the cozy, relaxing, meticulously decorated Zen Den in Doylestown, Edie’s next book signing is the perfect opportunity to visit, get a signed Bliss Mistress book, sip tea and order any number of organic and baked goodies.

On December 14, from 7-9pm, Edie Weinstein will be holding a book signing at the Zen Den. If you haven’t read the book yet, here’s a chance to get your copy, have it signed and meet the author. The Bliss Mistress, Transforming the Ordinary into the Extraordinary, is filled with Edie’s charming way of storytelling from her heart. It’s very hard to put this book down. One of my sources of sweet silliness and wondrous word wrangling is writer and speaker Courtey A. Walsh whose facebook communication has me shaking my head in awe with a resonating YES (or as she is fond of saying …YUP!)

Recently this bit of wisdom came through her. “We all know about IQ (Intelligence Quotient) and EQ (Emotional Intelligence Quotient) but what I’m primarily interested in is people’s PQ (Playfulness Quotient). Yup. Would be FUN to start measuring THAT.”

So, I ask you, when was the last time you engaged in just for the heck of it fun and frolic? Think back about your favorite childhood games and activities and revisit them now that you are a chronological adult. Aren’t we all just kids in grownup suits, when you come right down to it? I still love coloring, playing hopscotch, jump rope, sprawling on the floor with jacks, blowing bubbles…especially out the car window. All of this is done, in the absence of children…just for me, not caring how silly I make look to others who are trying REALLY hard to seem mature.

Today, I ask you to take a leap outside your kid comfort zone and play to your heart’s delight.
